Any kind of disability is fine. Fictionnal or not. I'm mostly looking for testimonies about what helps them continuing to move on, inner struggles, feeling like they're out of place etc
I'm trying to write a character with such a condition and I'd like to have more substance and ideas.

Two Arms and A Head but he didn't win his inner struggle, or maybe he did, depends on how you want to look at it I guess.

Oh do I have a treat for you. My mother was president of the Tri county autism society for nearly a decade and through her efforts I met the author of this book at an Elbys Big Boy for lunch one time (and yes I am autistic as is he and we talked for a good while) I was in middle or high school and I haven’t talked to him for some time but heard he works for the local newspaper agency.

I assume you're looking for more uplifting stories but this is a great novel if you want the more realistic, brutal aspects of disability. The serial killer antagonist has a cleft palate and was severely abused as a child as a result of it, and his love interest is a blind woman that accepts her disability and was able to handle it better. Tyrion's chapters in ASOIAF are also interesting for the blackpilled perspective on disability.

This has many of the qualities you'd expect from a Tumblr post but I found it incredibly enlightening.
