Excellent choice. In different and more direct modes I like Marianne Moore and Virginia Woolf, Elizabeth Bishop, in certain moods.

I was avoiding woman since that would just feed OP. When you get down to it I think men have probably written more autistically and extensively about loneliness than women and there is not even a comparison.

I like Woolf, not much for poetry so don't have much of an opinion about Moore and Bishop.
