After my mom started reading "A Game of Thrones" and hated it, she gave it to me.

Tore through the first book, then the second. Stalled a bit in the third, but now well into the fourth. Then I realized the fifth book only just came out. $35 hardcover? Madness.

Hooray for eBooks. Those only cost $5. And a pirated eBook even less. And the torrent came with like... 6 formats.

Anyway, general discussion on the whole "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. Or on eBooks/eReaders, if you feel like taking that route.

Meh, I just manned up and bought the hardcover. Although I hate not having a full matching set. Figure i'll just wait until all the books are out, if he doesnt croak first, and buy 'em when they make a nice set for all of 'em.

I'm in the middle of Feast atm. I actually have a full day of freedom tomorrow, tho, so progress will be made.

I'd be mad I didn't get into the series sooner, but then I look and see that the time between the Feat and Dances was like... 6 years or some shit, and suddenly I'm feeling pretty good.
