Maybe this is a niche topic, but are there any good books on how spy agencies actually recruit people? Ive always wondered how they manage to actually convince people to actually give up sensitive secrets or act for a foreign agency. They don't go "hey man, wanna betray your country", so how does it work?

A lot of spies are walk ins, or vulnerable because they are disgruntled or whatever. Espionage is a dangerous shady game because there is always the risk of double agents and the like. Not nonfiction but Libra is a good fiction book with a look at the underworld of agencies
