Polyglot KJV
The KJV 1611 facsimile reprint
The Geneva Bible 1560 Edition
KJV with Hebrew Greek and English
The book of Kells, which is Latin and an illuminated manuscript of mostly the NT
The Codex Alexandrinus,NT - Greek facsimile reprint from 325 AD or so,
Youngs Literal translation - A Bible book store owner in the 19th century Translated The Bible literally from the Greek
The Septuagint part 2 of the OT
The Septuagint with Apocrypha, has the Greek for both OT and NT, yet has many typos, why I have a few of them
Another version of the Septuagint. See abve
Codex Sinaiticus with The Received Text of the NT another 4th century reprint
Annotated KJV, which was recommended in the last Bible thread,
A Catholic Bible
A Hebrew and Greek bible that is pocket size
The Book of Common Prayer,
Strong's Numbers Bible Dictionary

Ill post about the other shelf in a bit but you can clearly see, they are not all the same, and when you study the Bible, you will find that there are minor differences between what is written therein. And because the Bible is the Literal Word of God, I am curious to read different ways people express it.

There are phrases in Greek and Hebrew that don't directly translate into English, most versions of the Bible try to take what the translators beleiuve those phrases mean and give them their best English equivalent. Those versions are not strictly literal translations. If you take each word, and regardless of its context, give its translation, it may be a bit wonky to read, but it takes less liberties on the implied meaning.

A great example is the Greek word "Logos" which in is famously quoted in English, "In the Beginning was the Word"

In Greek that word they use instead of "Word" is Logos, which doesn't quite mean "Word"
In French, the word they use instead of word is "Verb"
>In the Beginning was the Verb.

However, all the words in the original Greek and Hebrew, have numerical values since Arabic Numerals were not in use at the time. And thus there is a number code with in the text it self.
Thus I have a few Original Greek facsimile

There's only one Bible in English.

God doesn't need to continually redo his work using something picked out of a trash can or the Vat-of-sin. He already preserved His words in English at a time when the language was at its height of beauty.

Those are Apocryphal Verses. They don't actually belong there. (Another reason why Christianity is an outdated religion, and is declining, whereas its continuation [much like Christianity being the continuation of Judaism], Islam, is rising in population; most of Christianity's central texts are now full of errors, inserts, forgeries; not to mention all the confusion and secterianisation it has caused.)

Islam's rising population is non-white and retarded. Christianity is transmuting into new martyrdom heresies and one will ultimately supplant the rest, as has been the cycle for the last 4000 years of Indo-European history. Ahura Mazda, Prometheus, Mithras, Zoroaster, Jesus all share the same pantheon. Muhammad does not.

You misunderstand. The errors, inserts, and forgeries in scripture are real but irrelevant. All religious texts suffer faults. It's the source of their inevitable revolution. Religions aren't "true" or "false", divinely inspired or errant. They are a means of civilizational organization. Islam is a good world view to organize goat herders, promiscuous women and criminals. It's an inadequate cosmology for European potential.

KJV was the most popular one for the longest time, so it is a lot of people's personal favorites.
some people then try to justify it by saying any translation after KJV is corrupted.
also older = better, despite KJV not being the oldest english bible.
KJV is good from a literature standpoint, but requires annotations to clear up any vague language.
i wonder if there's also the psychological element of older english making people feel more 'connected' to christianity and orthodoxy.
which then makes people avoid modern translations because of the sterility for the sake of clarity.
