I just finished Battle Royale; I thought it was pretty good. Too bad they never released the movie in English.

Poorly written, but interesting enough. Basically a mindless dystopian teen fiction to read on a rainy day. The first book was better than those that followed it. Somewhat creative, somewhat overrated.
