Recommend me high IQ contemporary fiction. I want the language to be accessible (non-thesaurus like) because i'm an ETL (third language). But at the same time the author and by extension the plot should be high IQ and not retarded one dimensional bullshit that worships the current opressed thing. Thank you, I rarely read fiction and want to get into it. A good example of what I enjoy is Agatha Cristie's books.

Can't recommend Stephen Florida by Gabe Habash enough. Great book with an honestly unique character that's kind of hard to understand at times.
Author was influenced by 2666 (not for this book specifically but his writing in general) if that's your cup of tea

I thought Nico Walker's Cherry was alright but it's a mix of fiction and non fiction

read lord of the rings with me, I have to occasionally use a thesaurus when Tolkein describes the setting but otherwise its readable

Book of the New Sun is pretty tough. The Xeelee books aren't the easiest reads either.
