Chris Fuhrman's The Dangerous Lives of Altar boys was published 3 years after he passed away from cancer. I absolutely adore this book, and it's a true encapsulation of what it's like being young. It's unfortunate we never got to see another creation from this wonderful novelist before his untimely death.
Any authors you guys adore that published a single novel and passed before we could see them truly flourish?

Most famous one. Neon Bible doesn't count.
