I'm 101 IQ and I have a wife, kids, and a house. My "superpower" is that I can turn off the introspective part of my brain and just do things. After I do the thing (asking a girl out, interviewing for a job, etc) I sometimes wonder how I did it because they seem scary to think about. Maybe it's like stage fright where it's only scary before you get up on stage.

I talked to the organizer of events, he said that a majority of people who get initiated into the MENSA cult come to a meeting at least once but dont stick around. I guess you could say "the socially autistic ones wouldnt do an IQ test in the first place" but OP specifically referenced IQ. And none of the people at the meetings I was at (even the one right after the big wave of new comers) were giga shut ins. There were some alcoholics but even they were very social.
