The world population in the year Shakespeare was born was 500million. Currently there are sixteen times as many people, and the global literacy rate is incomparable to back then. That means there are at least 20 Shakespeares alive right now, but they are too depressed, ADD-addled, and lazy to write anything. They rather use all their time playing vidya and watching Netflix.

If Shakespeare were alive today, he would have been a master of Reddit. He would have crafted witty comments and engaging posts that would have taken the front page by storm. His command of language would have been the envy of the entire community, and his ability to turn a phrase would have been legendary.

In the modern-day digital world, Shakespeare's masterful storytelling and dramatic talent would have found a new medium in which to shine. His works, once confined to dusty books on library shelves, now have the potential to reach millions of people across the globe through the power of Reddit.

Shakespeare's plays were full of complex characters and timeless themes that still resonate with us today. They explore the human condition in all its glory and its flaws, inspiring us to question our beliefs, our values, and our very existence.

The Bard himself might have found the platform of Reddit to be the perfect place to engage with audiences and hear their thoughts and opinions. He would have relished the challenge of crafting comments that are both insightful and thought-provoking, and the thrill of getting upvoted to the top of the front page.

In many ways, Shakespeare and Reddit share a common goal - to tell stories that connect with people on a fundamental level.

Or, people get enough smut in other, richer media sources, that they don't need to get it from plays and books anymore.

Also, you will never be a writer.

the new Shakespeare probably exists, and he writes his ass off, but the jewish publishers don't think his stories are "marketable" and ignore him in favor of printing more Eat, Pray, Love type bullshit and YA schlock.

Shakespeare probably had a classical education. Most likely, he knew Latin and was educated in rhetoric. He was exposed to some degree of classical Roman literature as a young man and had probably written and recited poetry starting at a young age, and all this in a world where poets and playwrights were valued, where the world itself was more inspiring, more normal, more mysterious, more organic. London itself was hardly the sprawling mass of concrete, aluminum, and glass that it is today. It was practically a village. If you want to know why there’s no Shakespeare, ask yourself why Orchids don’t grow on asphalt.

What possesses redditors to spend their time going to chatgpt, typing out a question, copying the answer, then coming back to 4chan to paste it in reply to something? What's the point?

If anyone understands the aims of these redditors, I'm interested in knowing.

I believe that people may do this in order to either share information or express their opinions on a particular topic. They may also find it entertaining or engaging to participate in online communities. Additionally, some people may enjoy the challenge of finding and sharing answers to questions. However, copying and pasting content from other sources without proper attribution is not always ethical or legal.
