Do you always finish a book before starting a new one?

no, its called having a stack. so calm down you are not actually stuck with your new years resolution to read thousands of pages of greek philosophers. you can skim through 12 rules for life any time you want.

No that's a terrible way of reading on your free time. You'll get stuck, bored and won't remember anything you read if you "push through" thr book anyway. You should be reading like 2-5 books (not only non-fiction of course) at a time, shifting between them depending on your mood and desires. And if one book catches grabs your attention and makes you obsessed, great: read it in full. With this method you will never be bored of reading, and you'll always have something to read (you won't be searching endlessly for the next book).

Tldr: read a few books at a time and read what interests you at the moment

>A RETARD'S GUIDE TO RETARDED RETARDING: READ 20 BOOKS BEFORE READING THE ACTUAL BOOK YOU WANT TO READ (NONE OF THEM ARE NECESSARY)
I have not seen a single chart about anything that isn't guilty of this shit. Even with the Plotinus threads it was like "nooooo you MUST read Aristotle and the Stoics first". No. I was just fine without them.
