What book is this show based off?

Would it be worth reading the books or should i just wait untill they put them on TV?

The book is called Game of Thrones. People are going to tell you to read the books, but don't. The show is much better than they are, and all you will do is spoil yourself for the show by reading them. Read better books instead

A Million Little Pieces.

if you're a fantasy fan you'd have read them already. since you're not, don't bother. the show's pretty good and the books are fucking long and the series will remain unfinished

Sanderson is good. Erikson too if you like DBZ-style fantasy.

The series is called A Song of Ice and Fire. There are in total five books released, two more to come. The first season was based on the first book: A Game of Thrones.

I couldn't hold myself for season 2 so I read the books myself. Were they better than the show? Probably not. The books have alot of story you don't really care about. Whereas the show is focused on the good parts. But I still loved the books and there are some chapters in there I'll never forget.
