OK. Cool I guess? Is this it to Nietzsche? This is shit I figured out on my own when I was 14. Do people really need to read entire books to tell them stuff like this? Serious question.

No you idiot. Nietzsche is about the will to power.

“Will to Power may now be conceived of as the permanentizing of surpassment, that is of becoming; hence as a transformed determination of the guiding metaphysical projection. The Eternal Recurrence of the Same unfurls and displays its essence, so to speak, as the most constant permanentizing of the becoming of what is constant.”

>literally the same drivel about "not following the rules and doing whatever you want" surpassing morality, ethics, etc, as if you were "strong" and important enough to do so

that's just more flowery and chewed.

>> No.22047141

The main flaw of Nietzsche is that he works under the assumption that denying our instincts is bad for us and that we must give in to our Dionysian impulses on occasion. This thesis is what his entire philosophy is based around.
But the problem with this is that it assumes that the origins of humanity is "correct" humanity, and not the final version of humanity we are progressing into. Maybe suppressing our desires for 2000 years was a necessary part of collective species growth that we don't fully understand yet. And going back to pagan Greek ideals of "might makes right" could be a regression that sets us back centuries. It could very well be that the Nietzschean idea of killing religion, and the will to power and the ubermensch is truly the next stage of history. But it has to happen organically and must be a direct response to the context of the time we are living in. It can't happen out of wanting to go back to the "good old days."

That's not at all what it is. True power is overabundance of strength and thus kindness at the end of the day.

and don't you see exactly that in Christ's crucifixion?

the incarnation of God letting Himself get killed to save all others, including the ones who did it, and forgiving them while it happens.

the epitome of both: omnipotence, and omnibenevolence.

No. Christ is a symbolism of enslavement because he tells you to give up all your possessions and follow him. Strength isn't achieved by following but by being and you cam;t be if you're meek.

The Christian message is ultimately Jewish magic to corrupt being.

the word is not "meek" in the sense you're taking it.
go look for the greek, praus/praeis
it means mild, gentle, humble.
not weak.

and no, He does not tell you to give them away, He tells you to strive for perfection, and help others in need.
you're held to the standard of Christ's perfection, and the only way you're correct in the eyes of God is by trying to reach that with all your being, and knowing you need Him because you simply cannot attain that perfection.
i don't see how that would ever be weakness.

and, before you quote the rich young man, that is a test. Christ knows the man loves his possessions too much to give them up to follow Him.
if you'd rather simplify it, Christ is saying "let go of your greed and follow Me".
which the man couldn't.

I've always wondered where people got this from. I was raised by non-religious Catholics, I just went to Sunday school and never got that impression at all. Nietzsche was a cringe, not enough well-read adolescent who never actually understood what Christ and Christianism are about. In fact, in "The Antichrist", he eventually contradicts his entire philosophy by expressing shy words of appreciation for Christ. The whole "madness" crisis, the whole Turin horse thing, is most probably the result of realizing that he was wrong all along, so for that reason he locked himself in silence out of shame.

>It’s do what makes you strong
