He was kept in a commie boarding school, then escaped and studied medicine. If anything he has a STEM education, but /lit/erature comes naturally to him as he has a well rounded intellect. He probably read a good amount of humanities texts while specialising as a psychiatrist, so that would have further rounded his knowledge.
