Mann's only first-rate work is Buddenbrooks. Dr Faustus is also great, though in another way. Rest is mid.
Musil's MwQ is painfully overwritten. Törless is great but not enough.

1. Shakespeare
2-10. not worth mentioning

that's only because it's black and white anon. You can see the edge of a light source on the top left

That's fine if your taste is different but it none of them are in your top 20 then you're a retard
>>21923571
I guarantee you haven't read anything from either three.
>>21923767
He's the most disputable but he's still great. Read 'The magic mountain'
>>21923919
weird taste. Buddenbrooks is my second favorite behind Magic Mountain even though its a slog sometimes. Dr. Faustus is great also but I couldn't imagine anyone enjoying it but me. It's so autistic and filled with diatribes about pianos which go on forever
>>21924032
He's the greatest playwright but he has no prose so you can't compare him to novelists.

All good, especially Proust, but Pynchon mogs them all.
