Today I'm going to see my gf and we'll probably break up, both of us accepting it. What books do you recommend, for me and for her, to deal with?

My ex once called me to meet her at a grocery store parking lot. She had a letter written up to break up with me. I was in denial and when I internalized that we were through, I attempted suicide. It took me years to get over her. As childish as it sounds if I were you, I would probably not go and savor the moment a few more days, a la George Costanza

>and for her
Please take my advice. If it's over, do not have any contact with her. Block her number and block her on social media. Do not have any contact, don't look her up. Move on.

She’s probably already talking to Chad. She won’t need books to get over you, but she might be needing some other sort of “stimulation” from Chad.

In moments like these, you should stop reading and think for yourself. So, I recommend you don't read anything.

best advice
Get out of the house, feel and think what you need to feel. Process that shit before it processes you into a pit of pain

>> No.21913772

Go to nature and just sit where it's quiet for a while. You already know what you need to do, just give yourself the time to remember it.

I agree with everyone else. Go /out/ and have an adventure, even if it's just a simple one if you're not the type.

Imagine being so childish you break up instead of fixing shit.

White nights? It's very well done to get it across immediately.

I think most people are naturally alone, anon, certainly those reflective enough to fear it. Nature of life and the world, I suppose. Quite dreadful too, really.

I so wish I'd been born in a more pleasant world, full of more pleasant things. Solace in another could at least palliate this one—but no!

It ended up quite well, /lit/, or I think so. Thank you all for your advice.

Before I left I gave her White Nights and The Myth of Sisyphus because I couldn't think of anything better.

I don't wanna say. All I'll say is that I don't recommend suicide. In fact I'm really glad I failed at it. Having said that, I can't recommend "failing" (as in doing something that alerts all your friends and family about your intentions) enough. All your friends and family come out of the wood work to show how much they love you. But ultimately antidepressants and/or exercise, and forcing yourself to leave your house is the thing that will cure your depression
