When the grid goes down, what books do you have to keep you occupied?
I have collected the following

>In Search of Lost Time complete collection (4,500+ pages)
>Joseph and His Brothers (1,500 pages)
>The Count of Monte Cristo (1,200 pages)
>The Bible

I figure these will keep me occupied enough at least until I can find somewhere to source books from in the aftermath. What about you?

Books are for children and nerds, you should enslave those nerds to rebuild the internet.

Fun premise, I hope noone will say something faggy like "your chance of survival is minimal and even if you do, you should have other priorities than which books to read."
Personally, I would grab a few doorstoppers as well. Donquixote, the bible, some biographies, some works by mediterannean 20th century authors. Maybe an art book or 2.

Man if the world was ending and all I had left to keep me occupied was Proust I think I'd rather just die

What would you need to keep yourself from that state?

Something slightly more uplifting than a dour reflection on nostalgia, time, and loss. I'd honestly take with me some massive shitty fantasy or scifi series. Escapism would be the best option.

All of them. Should stack up on candles though. And print out my own writings, too, I guess.
It's not gonna be nukes but a solar flare btw.

Makes sense, so something like? It's just a theoretical asking which books you find important enough bro.
