he's too difficult for ESLs which is the majority of /lit/ posters. And for those of us who go to used/secondhand book stores, his books are impossible to find. He's also largely forgotten as an American writer anyways. Only someone REALLY invested in the transitional period between modernism and postmodernism in America will have heard about him.
