Being homeless is weird. There are tiers to homelessness. I’m educated.
And I’m from inland suburbia. So I’m so proud. Too proud to ask for food. And sit outside and beg. When my back is really against the wall, and I have to sleep outside, no two ways about it, usually I’ll just walk. Walk and walk and walk. And I lose sleep. I do. I’ve lost about four days of sleep now. After about six or seven days I begin to see shadow people. Dark shapes just create bodies out of everything. Extremely terrifying, no matter how lucid I am about my hallucination. Wild shit.
Being in jail overnight is preferable. Thing about jail is I never really know what’s coming next. I don’t know when I’ll be out. I begged so hard to get out and now I have nowhere to go. Lol. Inside jail, the rooms are cold, and the lights are always on, at least if you don’t enter population, but outside it’s always a bit colder plus there’s no blanket. Jail won’t give you pillow. I mean in transition. There are a hundred different types of cells, for coming, going, court, this, that. When I’m in population they will turn out the lights and give me a pillow. But not outside. Out here I’m on my own.

Anyway.
The only actual way (for someone like me) to sleep outside, with nothing, no tent or mattress or anything, is with heroin. Or fentanyl I guess. That takes care of it. You know when you see dudes splayed out on the sidewalk sleeping midday like nothing matters, that’s fentanyl. It makes everything okay. That’s the only way. Otherwise I walk. I’m not doing drugs tonight. Or ever again as far as I can muster conviction. I’m on Vancouver downtown east side roughy now, Brandiz Bar. Temptation is everywhere. Instead I’m just having a pint with my last $10 charging my phone screaming into the void. Then I will walk. When I get my computer back I will do all the &amp bullshit but it’s not my priority. Back in survival mode. And &amp was founded on this chaos. So get used it (nobody cares).

I had two toonies (canadas two dollar bill yall) so I bought some down off of some dealer on the corner (yeah the dealer deals outside the police station/jail) and I gave it to homie.
He started smoking it in his foil (he must have had foil going into jail because he had it coming out). And some dude came up and just stole it from him. Fuckin kek. What could I do. Buddy stood up and walked away. He got enough of his hit to stand up and fuck off. That’s what happens when you get wired on smack. You get turbo sick when it wears off. And that’s putting it lightly.

I actually shared a transit cell of some sort with him. A court cell. He denied his lawyer when she came calling. Lol. Poor fucker. Still got out I guess though. The toilet was full of a huge shit when I came in. I flushed it and he budged and snored.
In one of the other cells, i was led into one by some cop, and it smelled so bad. And I found a turd under the bench. Like a piece of shit. I asked for anew cell. Took about an hour. Lolll.

The first time I went to jail was officially for missing a court date in regards to an incident (a crime) in which I stole gas three times every Wednesday in a row without realizing it. When I went in, I told the doctor I was suicidal, and that i could, i don’t know, grab a cops gun and shoot myself, and he was like “oh that’s a realistic probability so I’m going to put you in a padded cell in a padded onesie.” That was weird. That time, I ended up occupying a temp cell across from a guy named Travis Baumgardener who was a money truck employee, a cash guard, the kind that delivers cash to ATMs in armoured trucks. My words are escaping me a little. Anyway he killed like four others during a cash delivery and tried to ru nawab with it. Got busted crossing into America. Anyway he was the talk of the jail when I was there. And I saw his face. He was very upset. Very very. We were both in the padded cell section. Weird.
Anyway the dude I shared this padded cell with, what a spook. All he talked about was killing himself. When we got our ‘bricks’ (peanut butter sandwich), they came wrapped in plastic. Well he wrapped the plastic over his whole face and pulled his blanket over himself. I didn’t notice. I couldn’t hold my shit in, so I shit in this styrofoam (the cell was a tight mess with no toilet (and they wouldn’t let me out to shit)) and when I blamed in on buddy eventually, they came in and uncovered him and saw the plastic over his face. He was fine. A bullshit attempt at feigning suicide.

I'm trying to write a character that makes multiple accounts on discord who professes their love for each other and larps as other people, but I can't think of the motivation behind such a person. Surely there can't be anyone like that in real life. What would push someone to do something that pathetic? I really can't imagine why any one would do that.
