Most people with a “dude just look at the world and your purpose will appear” type rhetoric are utterly blind to the idea that people can reach other conclusions. Pretty much all religious rhetoric falls on this rope as well, having a freakout if you use “their” arguments to reach other beliefs.
Much of the open society and libertarian people similarly just assume you’ll reach a compatible stance. Myopic worldview and an inability to work with ideas contrafactual to your existence (arguably just empathy).
