Hello,

I've been wrecking my head for a couple hours now trying to remember the name of a novel I wanted to recommend to a friend. We talked postmodern fantasy books, and there is one - fairly old, I read it as a child - about a poet who gets drawn into a very weird fantasy realm where art is magical. A magical architect is a major character, and there's a discussion on the fundamental similarity between all arts (for example, poetry and architecture). I cannot for the life of me remember anyone's names, though, nor the book's or author's, and so I can't find it. Drawing an absolute blank here. I've gotten to that self-gaslighting point where I'm beginning to wonder if it ever existed or I'm losing my mind.

Anyone mind helping me out?

Thank you, but no - that's not it.

If it's any help, I was pretty sure it was by Samuel Delany first, because it had his distinctive style all over it. However, I'm not finding anything like it in his bibliography.
