When the bible says turn the other cheek it did not imply complete pacifism. All that really meant was that you didn't have to retaliate for a personal offense, especially one that is extremely minor. key words being "don't have to" as the bible also does encourage justified wars and retaliation. Hell, Jesus even drove the merchants out of the temple by threatening them with a whip.
