Should I go to law school? I was doing some quizzes from the LSAT and it seemed fairly easy if you have a good reading comprehension and some common sense.

it seems to me that lawyers have more rights than normal citizens. they have the ability to effect things more than other people by being able to practice law. Stuff like cease and desists that would scare the shit out of other people and basically force them to at least drop a couple thousand dollars to get legal help sort of rolls of your back. and you can also do that kind of legal extortion yourself for free. Also its a gateway into politics and non profit organizations, and I think even tech and F500 companies

You go from college to law school and you won't fit in and be able to network if you're a 32 yo obese NEET

And it's a bad idea to go into law. Good schools are incredibly hard to get into, even if you're qualified. And entering the field from a mediocre school pays a lot less than other jobs with less IQ and years of education required

I'm telling you bro, don't go into law. And definitely don't do any of the weird prelaw shit they offer now if you're in college or plan to start

Consider the opportunity cost. You should do something with your life and sadly uni gatekeeps the vast percentage of things that can advance your life. Give it a week, ask yourself what you want to do in general. There is not only law school, there are many other paths to success. However law is pretty fucking great if you are good at it. If you can get to good uni and excel you are set for life. Just don’t make rash decisions is all I am talking about. Don’t do because you can, do because you want and have a plan. It’s 1/3rd of your living hours you are asking 4chan of all places about.

a ba in econ? if youre not going into an elite gradschool or inheriting the family business, go to lawschool. You will get some status and prestige that normies slightly respect. And at least a middle class salary

Can you get in to a top law school? Are you a 4.0 gpa student? If so, then you will do fine. If not, you will be a mall lawyer or public defender barely making your student loan payments. Unless you have nothing else to do, don't.

I dropped out of law school last year. Did just one year. Thankfully, I had a fully scholly because of a high LSAT. Never paid a dime. We're on the brink of a really bad recession. I think most of the people from my class will graduate without offers. So take that into consideration. Read up on how bad it was for law grads back in 08-12.

While I was there, I won the 1L moot court competition and booked 2 of my classes. But if you're not a type A sociopath, it's tough. I'm easygoing and laidback, island vibes type guy. I saw a lot of backstabbing and jealousy, students reporting each other to the honor board for the most minor of infringements. It was incredibly fake and gay. Ultimately, it was not a personality fit.

If you're one of those women who make 'lawyer' their whole personality, if you're gay, or just a run of the mill sociopath, you'll like it.

Perfect description of law school. I too had a full scholly (if not, never go to law school unless you’re a trust fund loser like most of the students). Graduated, worked for 5 years, then became a neet because fuck that “profession” and honestly being a neet is the best thing I ever did with my life that I wish I dropped out after my first year.

Burn out? No, it’s just a soulless profession filled with genuine retards. Now I just read, write, and translate avant-garde Italian poetry all day every day.
