I think it might be primarily chemicals in the brain. Some people maybe have more or less of some than other people do and maybe they are released differently. There's people locked up in death row that are content and happy and people that have everything they've ever wanted that are miserable. I think there is certainly something other than life circumstances involved and I believe it may physiological.

Not OP but I went from neurotic unhappy to mostly happy when i stopped drinking alcohol and eating processed food and started walking a lot. I think inflammation plays a part in it. I noticed my information diet changing with it naturally.
