“Gabo” was also a communist and a pedo. What he thought is irrelevant. I have read both and while the translation is good, to claim it’s better than the original shows he couldn’t read English or that he said that to promote the book. At one point the word “estirpe” (lineage, bloodline) is rendered as “race”.
