I would say Umineko even though it's just an adaptation of the Visual Novel. It was based on some mystery novels of Agatha Christie like And then there were none and the Hercules Poirot series, but with it's unique twist.
The other mangas of the creator of Monster are also great, like Pluto or 20th Century Boys.
