Fellow literates and alcoholics,
today is the Día de los Muertos, the Mexican Day of the Dead, where Under the Volcano takes place. How do you celebrate?

>> No.2171908

I dunno, I'm not Mexican. How am I supposed to celebrate?

>> No.2171960

you are supposed to set out some type of bread and some candles for when your dead homies come to chill at your spot overnight.

If he's dead, and maybe even if he's not

I dunno, I guess I may start trying to read Under the Volcano, since I hear about it all the time.

If you want to put yourself through a slow and torturous read, by all means. This book is trash for all but the most pretentious of readers who believe in always finishing books they start for the sake of it. Read an excerpt, and thank yourself for never reading more than that

Haha, honestly, this book is worth finishing, because the ending is kind much more intense than the rest. Or something.
