GEORGE LEWIS BOBORGES IS MY FAVOURITE ANGLO LITERARY AUTHOR.

I don't really like Borges and I don't think i read all the stories in that book, but the minotaur one.

>> No.21666659

I think if i had discovered him accidentally i might have appreciated it more but with how overrated he is i just cant enjoy the stories. they seem mediocre, low-rent lovecraft.

>> No.21666664 [DELETED]

the only borges i read is that short story about the infinite book or whatever. it was ok, but didn't blow my mind. better than joyce's shorts, but not even close to kafka. then again, it was the only one i read so maybe he has better shit.

You are a brainlet.

This is his best work. The Other Death is a favorite of mine.

>> No.21667850

not an argument. his writing isn't interesting. there's no lovecraftian mystique or kafkaesque intrigue. it's just all: there was thing, it was kind of a queer thing, this thing. then the thing did another thing. the end

>> No.21667856

It's super short and maybe not the most memorable, but I always get a kick out of "The Two Kings and the Two Labyrinths" whenever I reread it.

Perfectly applies to Lovecraft as well. Except the characters go le crazy with le indescribable things

yeah but then niggerman comes to save them at the end, a key feature missing from borges.

Averroes Search, because Tlon is peak JLB, and that one comes closest. A lovely, elegant joke and a sweet hearted tribute to those thinkers.

The Immortal also good. The Borges that contains all Borges.
