>a group of scientists that survived the war by taking refuge in a small college campus
>scientists begin to to rebuild the campus into a “temple” of sorts
>college and scientists become mythologized by scavengers and tribals, believing them to be some sort of gods/wizards due to the chemistry and science experiments they create
>tribals view them as gods and their science experiments as “magic”
>college becomes a thriving town where only the brightest and smartest people are allowed to take refuge in, learning how to use “magic” and strike fear into the wasteland
>the “temple” is guarded by hundreds of tribal warriors, who worship the “gods” in order to gain “blessings” upon their people and land (scientists/wizards/gods conduct chemistry equations and experiments to help the tribals grow their food more effectively, provide them basic scientific knowledge, etc)

I went to a museum that had a Batman cup and other stuff on display and theorized that what we know of ancient history might be wrong, and that future people might think that this "Batman" on a number of items was worshiped as a god.
