Does anyone else get the impression that Harold Blood is the middest of wits? Saying Hamlet is the greatest work of western literature, perhaps he adds, of all literature ever is like an art critic saying the Mona Lisa is the greatest painting of all time. The guy reads Gnosticism into everything in order to sound heckin deep and as a consequence a meme of Blood Meridian being gnostic developed among literary critics though there is zero in the story to suggest some higher platonic realm.

Food and sex are the basic motors of our desire. i could put sex in evidence here since freud stated that even in food there is a sexual component. But lets go with those 2, and ignore food, i know we need it, but when you are fed, you just keep eating because you are not fucking what you want to fuck.
with this we can go : who get sex easyer ? first : the people with money. then things can vary but what is noticed is that : women get it easyer than man. the basic explanation is natural, women can get pregnant and the dude can leave her to take care of the baby alone. therefore they have a higher risk, therefore they get to choose. this takes the balace of the sexual economy towards women. and if sex is the pillar of our culture, women are way more powerful than man. So man, to take a saying in the matter have to make money, or try to do something else to add to the lack of money, like go to the gim or try to be funny. in the end there is a sexual economy that some people get an advantage just by being born female.
