the bible is more gnostic than anything.

jews in the old testament are constantly talking back to god and confronting him on the bullshit he does. God is also often potrayed as a bully and asshole.

then in the new testament, jesus always breaks the rules and pisses of the jews. Apart from the gospel of John ( which is clearly fanfic) jesus comes across as someone who wants to overthrow God and dislikes God.
