The ending made me cry.
Some characters are severely punished and few don't deserve it.

The shape of her coat lay dusted in the snow where she’d dropped it and she wore only a white dress and she hung among the bare gray poles of the winter trees with her head bowed and her hands turned slightly outward like those of certain ecumenical statues whose attitude asks that their history be considered. That the deep foundation of the world be considered where it has its being in the sorrow of her creatures.

I don't think I cried, but I definitely felt something.

A concise, very intense story. A real work of art.

The sea of tranquility
I cried because of the parallels I made with my love life and how I wished I'd done things differently. I really found myself crying like a little bitch and I can't tell anyone about it. Probably one of the most shameful moments in my life.

Was really not expecting it from this book but the epilogue featuring the mother losing her grip on reality which in turn recontextualized parts of the main story made me rather sad.

Johnny Got His Gun by Dalton Trumbo. This book made me feel something: an agonizing visualization of “man that had lost everything.” He could not walk, see, hear, taste, move his arms, and talk—being the embodiment of tragedy. However finishing this book made me realize that: 1) War is a terrible game that harms mostly the lower class in a country; 2) Not every life is worth living. Hence assisted suicide can be justified.
