The Things They Carried by Tim O' Brien
It's about young soldiers dying in war and how the author deals with guilt and loss. He tries to makes sense of what happened and keeps them alive through the stories he writes, which is the book basically. One of the best books I've ever read.
I've lost many people in my life. You have to make time to grieve the loss, write poetry, seek answers in religion, etc. (At least what I did) The void won't leave you alone until you enter the black hole of sorrow and let your grief wash you clean.
