Literature isn’t really dying, desu. Things are just much more complex now. Obviously it’s not headed in an ideal direction, but there are still great new works.

There’s also a bias that comes into play, because there are thousands of years of works considered classic literature which is just so vast in comparison to the last ten or twenty years worth of books that you might consider worthy of the “literature” title. I’m sure in 200 years, if humans aren’t extinct or completely braindead, there will be hundreds of books within our lifetimes that will be hailed as great classics, even if we personally never knew about them.

Exchange women with non-European. When the West was homogenous they had a small and unique voice that contributed to the Western Canon. If there was a rebirth in motherhood amd all related concepts, women would be its most devout and loudest supporters. Women follow the crowd.

If a new movement began that celebrated women for what they are naturally mothers, wives and daughters, they would eventually support it and celebrate men as fathers, husbands and sons. They can not do this in a mixed ethno-cultural society.
