Jason. The image might not look it, but his comics are actually very emotionally complex - funny and simple, yet somehow melancholy and lonely.

I recommend his collection of 3 graphic novels "What I did". I took some photos from his first graphic novel "Pocket Full of Rain".

There are a lot Japanese, Chinese and Korean graphic novels/comics which are so often recommended. If you look at the sites and lists which I referenced you will probably find them and more than one time.
