I'm looking for a book I read when I was about eight. It's about a boy meeting an alien and the alien has magic purple fruit.
The alien heals people with the fruit. I would really love to learn the title.
None of the librarians I've asked can think of it.

In the late 70s I was writing letters to the editor of the student newspaper.
In the 80s and 90s I was on Usenet.
In the late 80s and early 90s I went on some BBSes.
In the early-to-mid 90s I was on IRC.
From the late 90s to now I have been on forums.
I contribute to Wikipedia.
I have been coming to 4chan almost every day since 2007. My route at the moment is /an/, /sci/, /int/, /lit/, /b/.
I don't have a Facebook or Twitter account. Fuck Facebook and Twitter, they're nothing new or interesting to me.
4chan is interesting to me, so I still visit. I still see things here that make me laugh or tell me something I didn't know. I like that.
When 4chan dies there will probably be some other interactive medium that I will find that I like.
I don't expect you to be on 4chan in 10 years, but I don't expect to be here either. Things change. People change. That's why I'm here.
