He already pushed fantasy books with his biggest Kickstarter campaign.

Say what you want about him, but I would say he is the current modern version of the Harry Potter author. He gets people to actually buy books and promote this with being so successful with stuff like his Kickstarter.

Sure, Peterson has a lot of flaws and personally I would call his books "fiction in a medieval setting with some minor magic" rather than real fantasy, but it seems working for him.

I don't understand why Tolkien "fantasy" is so famous. Sure, Tolkien did a create job pushing fantasy forward and into the mainstream, but most authors don't dare to go further. Sanderson is one of those people who struggle to move one inch further than Tolkien and most of his "world" doesn't feel fantasy at all and just like a cheap excuse to spend time researching fact.

Sanderson and all those other Tolkien tier authors in a nutshell

>create flora and fauna without ever looking into a Biology book
>there are inconsistencies
>IT'S BECAUSE OF MAGIC AND MUH FANTASY WORD

It's actually pretty sad that he like most other authors just use fantasy to just write without having any scientific quality obligation, rather than creating a real fantasy world that is more than just an illogical medieval world

I've tried a few of his books and they aren't for me but I like him cause he put his entire writing course on youtube and it massively improved my prose.
