the closer you get to the core of human behavior you realize nobody has a "deep down" or moral code or anything

they're overwhelmingly dictated by instinct and chemical interactions altering their mental states, and without said alterations they wouldn't care about "being nice" or "love" or compassion in any way
however if you can accept this fact, behaving as an amoral sociopath becomes wildly advantageous if there's still stuff in life you want and are willing to work for.
