*single handedly articulates the best argument for monogamy and marriage*
Tradbros, it's been 80 years. Will we ever stop depending on this children's book?

I don't remember anything specific about marriage in the book. Do you mean something about the Rose?

how good does your French have to be to read this? has anyone here gone through le français par la méthode nature? I'm going through it now and am not sure where to go after I finish it

>how good does your French have to be to read this?
Intermediate, it’s not that difficult just some tenses and big words here and there
>I'm going through it now and am not sure where to go after I finish it
I’ve not used that textbook, but what I might recommend for reading after Le Petit Prince is Balzac’s Père Goriot. If you want something more modern, try Sagan’s Bonjour tristesse or even Barbery’s L’Elégance du hérisson

I've noted that this book gets better with age (my age and the age of the book itself).

Le père Goriot uses lots of slang / abandoned words, mainly because they were related to some origins/social status and allowed to understand the characters better.
I guess it would feel strange to a non-french reader, unless you purchase an edition with explanations, anyway it makes the read more tedious
