it's funny how who say this universe isn't so bad automatically thinks they're going to one of the higher class

I just read The Tempest today

It doesn’t matter because all of the classes are ultimately the same, and the only real difference is in those few such as Marx or Hemholtz who differ enough to find objections to their society. For the most part, there is no qualitative difference between an Alpha’s meaningless life of pleasure and an Epsilon’s except for differing societal duties which may give off the appearance of power and success but are not substantial being that every individual is ultimately a slave to the system

I'd probably take it over where we are now. We basically have the bad parts of Brave New World, but women aren't socially obligated to have sex with me.

He was a pseud. His rejection of the system was insincere and actually just angst about his deformity giving him relatively less enjoyment of the system (which he could have enjoyed much more the entire time if he wasn’t so insecure). The moment he gained some clout and confidence he gave up his objections and was just as much a consoomer as the rest.

If you identify with him you should probably drop your pretentious persona you put up as a wall between yourself and others and go have a silly fun time with some friends and get laid. If you’re actually smart you’d have no qualms about this because you’d have something meaningful to do at your job and wouldn’t need to seek intellectual validation socially.

What a shit thread. Learn English, somehow I doubt you finished that book.

>> No.21439340

the only way you can find the world of BNW oppressive is if you have the outside perspective of someone like the savage. the society isn't aware that their art sucks. if you were the only person in the world who's read something that is 100000x times better than Shakespeare, you would find most of the art on Earth dull as well. the lower classes were lobotomized anyway.

>> No.21440568

When you grow up and habe to work BNW is an utopia.

Don't you? You're not braindead (being nice here) or a clone. You're arguably literate. Obviously the reader will identify with the named characters.
