I loved the linguistics used in this book. He keeps the same pace of "I wonder if he meant that" throughout the book even as the use of Nadsat gets more and more extreme.

Burgess wrote it intending it to be a quickly written lurid pulp novel. But he couldn’t help himself and threw in a bunch of Russian rhyming slang. It always annoyed him that it was his most popular novel and that it’s taught in literature classes.

they are both the same if you are wondering what "restored edition" refers to: when the book was released in the US the last chapter was removed. After the success of the Kubrick movie, they rereleased it in the US with the missing chapter restored. All publishings of the book today have the last chapter.
