Hey, /lit/. Any good tips on overcoming writer's block? I've had it for a few months now.

I haven't been reading or writing much myself, but I just read a letter in a novel and decided to write a letter to a friend. I won't send it of course (too personal) but it was great practise. And it counts as writing.

Write a letter to someone. First, write a sincere, simple letter to someone real. Then play around with it. Write a formal letter, informal, pretend you're a mexican writing a letter to a deceased jew...

Doesn't exist until you say it. Just write the first thing that comes to your head, attempt explaining on paper why you thought that (via backstory or elaboration), follow hunches etc...
