I was just thinking about this, wondering about being a "slow"(average) reader, thinking how these other people who read thrice as fast as me imagine the plot, how can they move and summon the "images" in their mind so quickly. So I took to big ol fucking reddit and turns out many of them dont, some even outright said they "skip that prose" entirely because they dont imagine it anyways. Bro, youre reviewing or saying its shit but you only read what essentially are the bullet points of the plot? What the fuck.
I can and should read faster, maybe drop the internal monologue for long passages..

I've read advice here on how to read more effectively without the bullshit hooked-on-phonics internal monologue nonsense
most of it is to use one's pointer finger and move it under the current word, then up in a curve to the next word, line-by-line
alternatively, using a blank straight-edge seems to work, too
what could I be doing better?

after, i did dice, then n64 style solid colored surfaces, then tried shapes with higher vertices, then i suddenly had a flashback of when i had spent a few nights straight trying to picture a mobile tesseract in my mind, which i eventually climbed through and found that i had moved forward in time faster than i would have had i sat there doing nothing, so i lined several in a row but i pussied out at the last moment since i didn't want to get blasted through time. and describing this just now i recall a moment i had when i was obsessed with the mandelbrot, and had closed my eyes and had a nigh hallucinogenic experience involving the entire visible universe as a mandelbrot, through which i looked as a lens, only to see myself laying there on the other side, staring back at me

nah, work out, eat a quality diet, and try not to focus on the direct visuals inside your head, but something *adjacent* or *next* to vision. it is not a sight, but a sense similar to sight. a somewhat helpful book for you might be one called "The Candle of Vision".
