a person with aphantasia can never experience the vivid flash of recognition of Ezra Pound's 'In a Station of the Metro'. but he can probably be powerfully affected by the textures and emotions of Larkin's 'This Be the Verse'. there are more associative senses involved in poetry than just visualisation... thoughts?
