Ralph Waldo Emerson is a well-known and influential writer, but there are many other writers who are worth reading as well. It's important to read widely and to expose yourself to a variety of writers, as this can help to broaden your understanding of the world and to deepen your appreciation of the craft of writing.

By reading a diverse range of writers, you can gain exposure to a wide range of styles, genres, and perspectives. This can help you to develop your own writing skills, as well as to gain a better understanding of the ways in which different writers approach their craft. Additionally, reading a variety of writers can help you to expand your knowledge of literature and to discover new authors and works that you might not have otherwise encountered.

Overall, it's important to read widely and to expose yourself to a diverse range of writers in order to broaden your horizons and to deepen your understanding of the world and the art of writing. While reading the works of Ralph Waldo Emerson can be a valuable and rewarding experience, there are many other writers who are worth reading as well.

If America is such a mistake why do you let us take up space on your lands? Genuine question. You'd think that somehow you'd figure out to get our troops off your soil but you're afraid of big bad NATO launching an air strike on your ass. You Chicken bawk bawk bawk?

Nothing at all, seething responses are just edgy contrarians and people who were filtered by basic transcendentalism. Emerson's essays in particular are top-tier comfy.

That said, if I'm reading that period of time I prefer Holmes; Autocrat of the Breakfast-Table (and all the other breakfast-table books) is far less self-serious but still very insightful.
