guis help please I don't know what to read anymore

I'm a huge weeb and used to love reading william gibson and futuristic dystopian type books, but am having a seriously hard time finding absolutely anything interesting to pick up and get engrossed in now.

I'll get hell for this but the last time I remember getting super engrossed in a book series was literally harry potter. I'm trying to read some sherlock holmes which is somewhat immersive but any other sort of genre just bores me from normie topics.

tl;dr anime ruined me, I thought I liked fantasy novels but I just liked harry potter and william gibson, now I can't get immersed in anything and am kind of sick of medieval themes

Try branching outside of genre fiction.

Any tools or methods you could suggest to do this? Just pick up random books and read them?

Read philosophy like a grown man or literary fiction. You’ve outgrown the other stuff, you need something a little more meaningful I reckon.
