Do you write "Property of (your name/family)" on the first page of your books?

>> No.2127314

I just jizz in them, dna proves it.

/b/ is that way, painfully unfunny idiot

>> No.2127320

why would I want to admit to people that I read like a nerd ???

>> No.2127323

>>2127314

not bad

...to answer OP - no. I'm not that paranoid.

this. reading is for fags and best done shamefully. I don't know why /lit/ is so intent on parading around their nerdhood and letting everyone know that not only do they read, but they read the most typical high-school-nerd-trying-pathetically-hard-to-be-'deep'-so-one-day-he-may-finally-know-the-touch-of-a
-girl literature.

I look up the names of the people who owned the book before me and judge them and their lives from what I see on Facebook.

>> No.2127343

Nope, don't write anything. Only thing I do is throw away the dust covers. I like the plane look of the books without them.

>> No.2127364

Sure I do

What if someone else jizzes in the same book?

Bought this version of Hunger, since it looked kinda nice and was the only one in store anyway. Turns out that big circle with the title in it is a sticker. I was compelled to peel it off and now its just a blank white cover with a picture of a chicken bone in it. Worst idea ever?

what if someone just crosses out your name and property bullshit and writes "nah, fuck dat. Property of R-Piggs".

>> No.2127394

>>2127390
That would happen only if I die and my children throw away/sell my books.

I have a couple of old paperbacks that belonged to some english lady called Elizabeth something.

It's a really ornate old school signature, and then it says 1923, Rio de Janeiro

It's pretty cool. She's long dead and forgotten now, probably.

sign your books children

it might be the only way you'll get your name to endure a hundred years

>Property

I actually wrote Property of FIRSTNAME LASTNAME in my copy of Das Kapital, because I'm a massive faggot.

>> No.2127569

Page 1, here I come.

>> No.2127581

My name is already on the first page of my books, as well as the cover and spine.

Did your publisher make you use a pseudonym, OP?

Doing it right

I never used to until I started that was actually pretty interesting seeing what year my parents read books that I've got off them, so now I just put my name or initials and the year, though this is getting harder to do with my kindle
