Effective altruism just means being altruistic to people whose causes you support or that benefit you indirectly that you want to advance in a way that is not otherwise monetizable as an investment

If there's no resources explaining step-by-step the mechanics or rationale of a thing then you're able to recognize the following,
1) all of these people (identifying to X) are operating on guesswork and no two of them are aware of the others actions or intentions,
2) more than likely these are predominately unconscious persons, rather than conscious persons,
3) unconsciousness is more often than not a creature led through the baseline impulses of petty short-term vice,

i.e.
you have rapacious disgusting thieves and pederasts mouthing platitudes almost each other and in public to make-pretend to themselves like they're not drooling psychotic patients;their first act of criminality gave birth to their first sense of guilt, which only compounded in each subsequent act.
