You know it’s bad when essentially pre-modern medieval institutions start aping tech and holdings companies.

Sometimes it really does feel like the world ended and we’re just living through the slow death of life on it.

>serifs are.......... LE BAD!!!!!!
>minimalism is.......... LE GOOD!!!!!!!

>> No.21244403

>>21241748
There are plenty of good examples to support your argument, but this is not one of them. The Ford logo has always been fairly minimalist, taking a straightforward and no-nonsense approach, with its key feature being the old-fashioned typeface. That is still present in the current logo, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. In fact, the Ford logo is one of the few logos that actively hearkens back to tradition rather than pandering to current Apple-influenced design trends. If they wrote "Ford" in Helvetica or something you would have a point. But here the font is clearly meant to evoke the good old-fashioned values of its based and redpilled founder, Henry Ford.

The Oxford University Press logo, in contrast, has eliminated anything that could possibly perceived as evoking tradition. The heraldic crest, the biblical latin motto, the crowns, the stately serif font. All gone, replaced with a version of the ubiquitous Google Chrome model that recalls absolutely nothing about the company's tradition, but instead calls to mind Barack Obama's 2008 election campaign logo.
