What books should I start reading? I haven’t read any books in a while because I got burnt out from high school, and I’m looking to get back into reading now I’ve been out of school for a couple years. Any good recommendations?

Have you read the dystopia trinity? Start with 1984, then Fahrenheit 451, then Brave New World. If yes, read "easy" fiction. Stuff like Murakami. Most people recommend Kafka On The Shore. I found myself liking Tsukuru Tazaki over Kafka On The Shore, but it looks like I'm in the minority here.

I'd recommend The Devil All The Time or pic related, two of the first books I read to get back into reading after being in a similar situation to you. Not terribly difficult and both are very engaging in my opinion.

Read for information, wisdom and self-improvement. Read on every subject but finance in particular will provide you a framework for what kinds of information you should seek. Do the same with employment. You should work to gain knowledge.

Depends upon what like, fiction or nonfiction. Choose one, then after that, hop in. (it better be fiction, or else you are a fag.) The best starting point is whatever interests you, but if you want a little "list" to follow, check out Harold Bloom's "must reads" of the western canon. http://sonic.net/~rteeter/grtbloom.html This will provide you a framework. I recommend you pick up a copy of Harold Bloom's The Western Canon instead of just browsing through this and picking whatever.

This, Out of the Silent Planet and Perelandra are fantastic. That Hideous Strength isn't quite as good in my opinion but is still solid.

Read Of Mice and Men. It is good but short and easy to understand, so you might actually reas the whole thing.
